The Challenge: Scaling Conversion Funnels As A Restricted Brand

Before Replo, Cornbread Hemp sent all of their Meta ad traffic directly to standard product detail pages and collection pages. They weren't running dedicated new customer offer tests or experimenting with subscribe-and-save promotions—limiting their ability to mature their advertising strategy.

As Neil Prendergast, Sr. Director of Growth at Cornbread, explains, the team needed a way to rapidly build and test different landing page experiences without relying on heavy development resources.

Being a CBD and THC brand added another layer of complexity—strict advertising policies on Meta and Google meant the team had to be extremely careful about how products were described on any page connected to paid campaigns. Any pages that were linked had to be scrubbed of content containing restricted terms, such as THC or CBD, or risk ad removal or even an account ban.

The growth team was lean, only about four to five people, that collaborated with a creative team and an agency for their front end development and shopping experience. What they were looking for was a solution that could help them move fast, stay compliant, and ultimately convert more customers from their paid channels.

The team built two distinct funnel strategies on Replo, each tailored to a different audience. For traffic coming through whitelisting partners on Meta, they created educational advertorial landing pages that blend targeted product education with a shoppable buy box at the top—giving new customers the validation and information they need before purchasing.

For their main Meta account, especially for more mature campaigns, the team focused on reducing the number of clicks to conversion with streamlined age gates built on Replo that route directly to focused product pages, oftentimes featuring no navigation to decrease distraction. The easier the conversion, the greater the chance a shopper would convert. 

Last but not least, Replo's built-in collection of real brand-inspired templates became the engine behind the team's rapid testing.

With Replo, the team could run campaigns with a clean domain that would direct to a specific offer PDP or a shoppable Replo landing page with built-in check out. Cornbread found themselves able to create duplicate pages, swap out modules, and launch new offer tests in a fraction of the time it would have previously taken—building upwards of 20 pages across different product categories (such as gummies versus drinks) and subcategories since onboarding.

To isolate Replo's impact from seasonal holiday spikes, Neil compared 2025 Q3 performance, before onboarding with Replo, against 2026 Q1 year-to-date results.

The numbers speak for themselves.

Customer acquisition cost dropped 33%, falling from $205 to $138 on Meta. Conversion rate grew to 217% of its pre-Replo CVR, climbing from 0.75% to 1.63%. And checkout initiation rate surged from under 3% to over 7%—a 133% improvement that signals stronger purchase intent across the entire conversion funnel.
