What is a Shopify collection?
A Shopify collection is a group of products shown together on one page, picked by hand or by rules such as tag, type or price.
A real store example
Frank & Eileen fall clothes collection: over 80 Meta ads linked here.
This collection groups flannels, plaids and layering pieces for the season under one address, so ads can send shoppers straight to it.

Shopify collections, explainedShopify collections questions
- What's the difference between a manual and an automated collection?
- You pick products for a manual collection one by one. An automated collection adds products that match rules you set, such as a tag or price, so new products join it on their own.
- Can a product be in more than one collection?
- Yes. A product can sit in as many collections as you like, such as New arrivals, Gifts under $50 and Sweaters, so shoppers find it from several directions.
