Guide

See any competitor's ads, free

Every ad on Facebook, Instagram and Google is public, and on TikTok in Europe. Here's where to look and what to read.

The short answer

Search the brand in Meta's Ad Library for its Facebook and Instagram ads, in Google's Ads Transparency Center for search, YouTube and display ads, and in TikTok's ad library for ads shown in Europe. All three are free. Then read four things: how long each ad has run, how many versions repeat it, the offer and the page it sends shoppers to.

Three free libraries, step by step

Each one shows a single advertiser at a time. Search the brand, then filter to what's running now.

  • Meta Ad Library

Facebook, Instagram and Meta's other apps

    1. Set the country and choose All ads

    2. Search the brand and pick its page

    3. Filter to active ads

    4. Open an ad for its start date

Every ad running now, with the day it started and how many versions share it.

Missing: No spend except on political ads, and one brand per search.

    Open Meta Ad Library
  • Google Ads Transparency Center

Google Search, YouTube, Display and Shopping

    1. Search the brand or its website

    2. Set the region and date range

    3. Filter by format: text, image or video

    4. Open an ad for when it last showed

A brand's ads across Google's networks, with the dates and regions they ran.

Missing: No keywords, spend or clicks.

    Open Google Ads Transparency Center
  • TikTok ad library

    TikTok ads shown in Europe

    1. Pick a European target country

    2. Set the last shown dates

    3. Search the advertiser's name

    4. Open an ad for its reach and dates

Ads shown in Europe, with first and last shown dates and reach.

Missing: Ads shown only in the US. TikTok's Top Ads shows a curated set instead.

Four things to read in every ad

A list of ads tells you little. These four tell you what's working for them.

  • Days live

Brands switch off ads that lose money. Months live means it still pays.

  • Repeated versions

Many live ads with the same words means the brand is scaling it.

  • The offer

Write down the price, bundle, gift or guarantee, word for word.

  • The landing page

A quiz, an offer page or a product page each tells you what converts.

Replo puts four brands' offers on one timeline, so the deepest discount stands out.

Two supplement brands, two ways to sell

AG1 sends its longest-running ad to an offer page that stacks free gifts. Seed sends almost everything to a quiz.

  • AG1: over 510 live ads

“💪 90 Days of AG1. Lock In. Level Up. AG1 is a daily, drinkable multivitamin with probiotics and nutrients that support energy, immunity, and gut health. Strong habits create stronger results.”

It sells a 90-day habit, not a scoop, and the page answers with free gifts and a 90-day guarantee above the fold.

  • Seed: over 490 live ads

“DS-01® uses unique ViaCap® technology designed to ensure probiotics make it to your colon alive.”

The ad makes one claim about how the capsule works. The quiz does the selling and pays 25% off for finishing it.

What Replo adds to the free libraries

The libraries show one brand at a time. Replo's ad research reads a whole category and follows every ad to its page.

Covers today

  • Live Meta ads, longest-running first
  • The landing page behind each ad
  • Offers and hooks pulled from each ad
  • Brands you haven't found yet
  • Your own page, built from it

Doesn't cover yet

  • TikTok, Google or YouTube ads
  • Ad spend or engagement figures
  • Full research inside the Replo app

Replo reads four brands' live Meta ads and grades each one, the way it reads any competitor you name.

Ad research runs in Claude and ChatGPT through the Replo plugin today, and is in early access inside Replo. See competitor ad research for plans, or how it compares in AdSpy alternatives.

Competitor ad questions

How can I see my competitors' ads for free?
Search the brand in Meta's Ad Library for Facebook and Instagram, Google's Ads Transparency Center for search and YouTube, and TikTok's ad library for ads shown in Europe. All three are free and need no account. Each shows one advertiser at a time.
How do I see a competitor's Facebook ads?
Open Meta's Ad Library, set your country and All ads, then search the brand and pick its page. You'll see every ad it runs now, the day each started, and how many versions share the same copy. Open an ad to see where it links.
Can I see how much a competitor spends on ads?
No, not for product ads. Meta shows spend only for political and social issue ads, and Google and TikTok show none. Paid spy tools estimate spend, but they're estimates. How long an ad has run is the best public sign that it pays.
Can I see a competitor's TikTok ads in the US?
Not fully. TikTok's ad library covers ads shown in Europe, and Creative Center's Top Ads shows a curated set of high-performing ads, not every ad a brand runs. Paid tools like Pipiads track more. Our AdSpy alternatives page compares them.
Is it legal to copy a competitor's ad?
Studying ads is fine; copying them isn't. Their images, video and words are theirs. Note the structure, the offer and the page type, then write your own. Comparative ads that name a rival must be truthful and backed by evidence.
