What a Stripe payment link is

A Stripe payment link is a web address that opens a Stripe-hosted checkout for one or more products, a subscription, or an amount the buyer picks. Buyers pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and don't need a Stripe account.

You make it in the Stripe Dashboard or the iOS app, with no code. The same link works in a message, a bio, an email, a QR code or behind a button on your site.

How to make a Stripe payment link

  1. In the Stripe Dashboard, open Payment Links and click New.
  2. Pick an existing product, or click Add a new product and fill in its name, price and picture.
  3. For a subscription, give the product a recurring price. For donations or tips, choose Customers choose what to pay.
  4. Click Create link, then copy it or download its QR code.
  5. Put the link behind the buy button on a sales page, so buyers see what they get before they pay.
Replo docs: ask Replo to create the product with the prompt 'Use this Stripe Payment Link as its external checkout', and Replo points its Buy Now button at your Stripe checkout

Paste the Stripe link into Replo's chat, and every Buy Now button on the page opens it.

What a Stripe payment link costs

What Stripe can't do for a sale

  • Pay-what-you-want caps at $10,000
  • Custom amounts can't recur
  • The checkout page is Stripe's design
  • Custom domain costs $10 a month
  • No page to explain the offer

When a link alone isn't enough

Visitors want to know what they get before paying. Replo builds that page and points its buttons at your link.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a Stripe payment link cost?
Nothing to create. Stripe includes Payment Links at no extra charge on its standard pricing and takes its usual 2.9% + 30¢ per successful US card payment, so an $80 sale costs $2.62. Cards issued abroad add 1.5%, and converting currency adds 1%. Work out your own orders with the payment processing fee calculator.
Do buyers need a Stripe account to pay?
No. The link opens a Stripe checkout page where anyone can pay by card, and Apple Pay or Google Pay show up when the buyer's device has them turned on.
Can a Stripe payment link charge a subscription?
Yes. Give the product a recurring price and the link starts a subscription, with an optional free trial. Links where the buyer picks the amount can't be recurring.
Is a Stripe payment link the same as Link by Stripe?
No. Payment Links is the no-code checkout page you share. Link is Stripe's saved-wallet feature that fills in a buyer's card at any Stripe checkout, including a payment link's.
Can Replo make the Stripe payment link for me?
No. You make the link in Stripe and paste it into Replo. Replo builds the sales page around it and points every buy button at your link, so payments and orders stay in your Stripe account. For one-time digital products, Replo checkout can take the payment on your own site instead.
Where do these steps and fees come from?
From each company's own pages: Stripe Docs: Create a payment link, Stripe: Pricing. Fees change, so check them before you set a price.
Replo docs, When to Sell on Replo: perfect for digital content or products, simple SKUs and testing demand; not for physical products or large catalogs with variants

Replo checkout suits digital products and simple items. For subscriptions or shipping, keep the payment link.

Build the page around your link

Fill in the brackets and send it. Replo builds the sales page and points every button at your Stripe link.

Your first message

Create a product called [product name] at [price]. Use this Stripe link as its checkout: [your link]. Then build a sales page for it: who it's for, what they get, three reviews, and a buy button in every section.
