Why Venmo has no payment link

Venmo doesn't make a payment link for a product or price. A Venmo business profile, linked to your personal account, takes payments from its QR code, Tap to Pay or a Venmo button at checkout.

To take Venmo online, make a PayPal payment link: PayPal shows Venmo as a way to pay to buyers in the US. Buyers without Venmo can still pay that link by card.

How to get paid with Venmo instead

  1. Set up a Venmo business profile from your personal Venmo account.
  2. For sales in person, show the profile's QR code, or take cards with Tap to Pay.
  3. To sell online, make a PayPal payment link from a PayPal business account; buyers can choose Venmo there.
  4. Put the PayPal link behind the buy button on a sales page.
Replo docs: ask Replo to create the product with the prompt 'Use this PayPal link as its external checkout', and Replo points its Buy Now button at PayPal checkout

Paste the PayPal link into Replo's chat, and every Buy Now button on the page opens it.

What getting paid with Venmo costs

A business profile pays less than goods and services to a personal account. Online, PayPal's rate applies.

What does Venmo charge a seller?
A business profile pays 1.9% + 10¢ per payment it receives, so $1.62 on an $80 sale. Payments to a personal account marked as goods and services pay 2.99%. Paid through a PayPal link with Venmo, PayPal's 3.49% plus its fixed fee applies.
Can I sell online with Venmo?
Yes, through a checkout that offers a Venmo button. The simplest is a PayPal payment link: US buyers can choose Venmo, and everyone else can pay with PayPal or a card.
Can Replo make a Venmo payment link?
No. Replo builds the sales page and points every buy button at a checkout link you paste in. To take Venmo, paste a PayPal payment link; buyers in the US can choose Venmo there.
Where do these steps and fees come from?
From each company's own pages: Venmo: Fees, Venmo: Business profiles, PayPal: Payment Links, PayPal: Merchant fees. Fees change, so check them before you set a price.
